Zhongnan Wushan is a new community hub in Shaanxi Province, south of Xi’an, with an overall site area of 327000 sqm or 490 mu, strategically positioned to leverage its rich natural and cultural setting. The site capitalizes on its proximity to a large working population from nearby factories, a university campus housing 60,000 students, and a steady influx of visitors drawn to the area’s stunning mountain vistas, hiking destinations, and cultural landmarks like local temples.

The master plan establishes a vibrant community focal point by creating a new neighborhood with a distinctive identity that reflects the region’s heritage. This design fosters a sense of pride and belonging among residents and visitors while integrating diverse building typologies into a cohesive and dynamic urban environment.

A central axis runs from the northern commercial plot to the southern sports-oriented areas with mountain views, efficiently connecting program elements. It provides a safe, car-free environment enriched with engaging activities, encouraging exploration and interaction.
