MAYR SHOWROOM

Mayr is one of the world leader company in the field of elevators technology. Mayr’s state of the art production and high-end engineering is based on decades of experience and elevator safety breaks are currently their revenue driving products in China.  We have been asked to propose an interior design solution for their headquarters showroom in Zhengjiagang in Jiangsu province. The company’s intention is to renovate the current entrance space and turn it into an exhibition area to display their cutting edge technology and their latest products.

The concept design reflects the technical precision, efficiency and reliability that made the company famous through the years. For this reason we decided to rely only on few elements of design which pure shape and materials give to the visitors an immediate feeling of hi-tech machinery.

The display podiums and the seats are all extruded cubic shapes; above each podium we positioned the lighting contained into mirrored boxes of different height that hang from the ceiling like modern stalactites providing a bright light to the display surface, almost like surgical lights. Podiums and seats are entirely white to reflect the reliability and precision of the company’s machinery. The only bright colors in the entire room are the blue and green of the company’s logo which have been discreetly chosen only for the podium’s bottom strips and for few vertical stripes on the interior walls.

Key necessity for the room was flexibility. Each item used for display can be easily carried away by one person and stored in the nearby storage room until next use.
